Navratri 2022 – Divine Nights of the Goddess

Navratri puja is one of the most divine festivals in India. We celebrate these days for 9 avatars of the Devi. We celebrate it by worshiping the 9 avatars with 9 types of puja.  The very first day Shailaputri Pujan is organized to please Shailaputri mata. The materials used for the puja are: coconut, roli, moli, rice, haldi, and several other things. The next day of Navratra is celebrated for pleasing Brahmacharini Mata.People use to go temple to pray in front of divine statue of Mata Rani (Goddess of Hindu). At third day Chandarkanta or Chandraghanta pujan is organized to please Chandraghanta Mata. Similarly Kushmanda puja, Skandamata, Maa Katyayani, Maa Kaalratri, Maa Gauri and Maa Siddhidatri puja is done on following days.

All the nine days, devotees pray and many devotes keep fast. Peoples fast all these nine days and they take only vegetarian food during Navratra. Some devotees only eat fruits and milk while some prefer to eat meal one time a day. And it is advised to keep mind as well as body properly pure all the nine days. The other kind of activities involves are, worshipping girl children’s as they are to be considered as avatars of devi. They are worshipped by offering gifts and bhog.

To have success in life, everyone needs blessings in all aspects of the Maa Durga; hence worshipping for the nine nights gives effective results if done truly and with pure heart. And light Akhand jyot in front of Goddess Durga. One important thing to be noticed is always starting prayer by worshipping Lord Ganesha first then perform prayer in front of Goddess Durga. She is the one who has the power of showering on her devotees with the blessings of never-ending success in every aspect.

Navratra is the festival actually the worship of the Goddess of power in order to seek her protection from any kind of fear and calamities that may destroy the peaceful life of people. In other words, Goddess Durga is motionless and she does everything. Truly speaking, our true worship of Shakti re-confirms the scientific theory that energy is immortal. It is always there. During Navratras one has to be very particular about work and action to gain spiritually. Special attention is given towards the food we eat.

All the nine nights of Navratra are very auspicious so anyone seeking for some wish to get fulfilled, if perform fasts with true devotion will surely get his/her wish get fulfilled.
