I have an autistic brother too, he is 22 now.
Depending on the severity of the child’s Autism and other issues – they can lead a normal life, provided the entire family gives 100% attention and care till the child grows up.. so don’t loose hope but you will need to work hard now. If that time is lost – it will never come back. Some kids also have regressive autism, like my brother.. if the child is neglected for sometime.. the learnings are lost.
Early intervention is the key.
You can sometimes watch Atypical on Netflix, will cheer you up.All the best and dont worry. Just need to put effort. With an autistic kid, the road is long..
By the way – Albert Einstien was said to have mild Autism too. Sometimes, they may have an exceptionally high IQ, photographic memory- their brain is just wired differently.
