You are in the midst of 3rd & 12th lord Mercury/Budha Maha-Dasha (from around December 2012) – not really a benefic for those with Udaya Lagna or Ascendent placed in the Zodiac sign of Cancer or Karkataka Rashi. To make matters worse, Mercury/Budha is Vakra or Retrograde and posited in the Lunar Constellation of Magha Nakshatra, ruled by Ketu… both Mercury/Budha and Ketu have below par Vimsopaka Bala in Dasha Varga. Mercury/Budha seems to be at his mischievous best and Ketu does not seem to be in the best of mood.
More over, there is a strong foot-print of Ketu and undeniable influence in the unfolding of Karma in your life. Further, Lagna lord Moon/Chandra being placed very close to Mrityu Bhaga and within the fatal Trimsama degrees (as per Phala Deepika and Brihat Prajapatyam) nor 7th & 8th lord Saturn/Shani-dev having an overbearing influence in his Uccha-Sthana or sign of exaltation does not bode well for your situation.. The theme seems to be similar from Chandra Lagna or placement of Moon/Chandra.
Given the situation, it would perhaps make sense for you to consider offering special prayers regularly to Lord Ganesha, with unwavering faith, bhakti/devotion and a strong Sankalpa.
