Your 10th house is ruled by your Lagna Lord Mercury/Budha, who seems to be strongly placed in his Uccha-Sthana or sign of exaltation and Moola-Trikona. And, Emerald is usually suggested for folk with weak Mercury/Budha. Given my understanding and in my humble opinion, there is absolutely no need for you to wear it.
Just so you are aware, you are in the last phase of Sade-Sathi or Saturn/Shani-dev’s transit across natal placement of Moon/Chandra. Although you would be quite accustomed to the Saturn/Shani-dev’s influence on your Moon/Chandra and in-turn on your mind, Sade-Sathi period and Saturn/Shani-dev’s return, with you turning 30 years older would have it’s own flavor.
On the sidelines, you are in the midst of Saturn/Shani-dev’s Maha-Dasha and Antra of Lagna & 10th lord Mercury/Budha. Activation of Mercury/Budha will also activate your 12th lord of Vyaya/Losses Sun/Ravi. So, please be aware and mindful of losses/(medical) expenses etc. And, it might not be a bad idea for you to be cautious of your health and well-being.
On my part, I’m inclined to think presence of Mars/Kuja in the 10th house of Karma-Sthana and his activation will induce some trying/testing times and perhaps a change/transformation.
