you are under Mercury mahadasha from 13/12/2008 and Mercury is well placed in 9th house in Chalit closely conjunct exalted Jupiter. Shows a deep penetrating intellect and as Mercury represents IT/computers makes sense you stay in that field. 10th lord Sun in 8th house in gemini shows research aptitude and success in IT/computers as well (Rahu in second house is aspecting 10th house and gives penchant for creative thinking/fuzzy logic as well).
