What is Manglik Dosha?
Mangal dosha, Kuja dosha or Manglik dosha generally comes up when we speak of marriages in India. But many people wonder what is Mangal Dosha that is giving nightmares to those in whose horoscope this dosha is present.
How To Check Mangal Dosha
Basically this dosha is the placement of Mars in the First, Fourth, Seventh, Eighth and Twelfth house of the persons horoscope. Some experts of astrology do also include the second house into consideration, however other experts differ in whether Mars in second house makes a person manglik or not.
Mars is a fierce planet and its placement in any of the above house in Lagan or the Moon sign makes the person Manglik. I’m learning to read my chart and noticed I have a Mars+Venus conjunction in both main chart and the D9 chart. This seems important to me as venus especially in D9 is a significator for the marriage.
I am wondering what might the effects of this yoga be to me? Is it beneficial because mars rules the fifth and is in it’s own sign? Or are there other malefic effects from it, if so may I ask what to expect?

Regarding manglik dosha as the boys has Mars in the 8th house of lagan chart and 12th house of Moon chart or chander kundli. The boy is full Manglik. As Mars is in the 4th house of Lagan chart and 11th house of Moon chart, you have Anshik manglik or partial Manglik dosha. As both have mangal dosha the charts are compatible.

There are different views held by different people on this, there is really no clarity even in the Astrologers community. In the horoscope of your Son Mars is in the 8th house in the sign of Cancer. Cancer is the sign in which Mars gets debilitated. Some astrologers hold the view that as Mars is debilitated Mangal Dosha gets cancelled, while others are of the opinion that Mars in its debilitated house does not cancel Mangal dosha. So that is why when you discuss with different astrologers, you will get to hear different viewpoints. Having Mangal or Kuja in 8th house is no crime , many people have Mars in 8th house and still have a wonderful married life. You just need to match the horoscopes or kundali milan at the time of marriage and everything should be fine.

My daughter was born in Agra at 1:10 PM on 25th March 1989. Please tell me whether she is Manglik or Nonmanglik.
Mangal dosha is checked from Lagan as well as Moon. The girls horoscope is Manglik from Moon but not from lagan. However as Jupiter is conjoined with Mars , it cancels Mangal dosha.
