Nadi dosha in Horoscope Matching
Guna Milan or Kundli Matching is an Indian system based upon which pundits find the compatibility between the boy and girl who are thinking of getting married. There are 36 points that are matched and for any marriage, the Pandits look at minimum 18 points. Pandits also look at what is called the Nadi Dosha. Nadi matching has the maximum 8 points in the Guna Milan or kundli milan and is of big importance.
How Nadi Dosha is formed?
What is Nadi Dosha and how Nadi dosha is formed?
Nadi basically deals with the health of the couple therefore its importance is understandable. During the matching process if Nadi in your Ashtkoot Guna milan chart shows 0 (zero) points then it means there is Nadi dosha in your marriage matching. The Horoscope of every individual shows the Nadi depending upon the placement of the Moon in different Nakshatras or constellations at the time of birth. Depending upon the placements, the following are the three types of Nadi.
What are the three Types of Nadi:
In your birth chart if the Moon is placed in any of these constellations named Ashwini, Ardra, Punarvasu, Hasta, Jyeshtha, Moola, Uttara Phalguni, Shatabhisha or Poorvabhadrapada in birth chart , the person is said to have Aadi Nadi.
In your birth chart, if Moon is placed in any of these constellations named Bharani, Pushya, Mrigashira, Poorvaphalguni, Chitra, Poorvashada, Dhanishtha, Anuradha, or Uttarabhadrapada in birth chart, the person is said to have Madhya Nadi. Incidentally, Madhya Nadi is the strongest Nadi dosha and therefore marriage is completely avoided unless cancellation is being done.
Similarly, in your birth chart if Moon is placed in any of these constellations named Kritika, Ashlesha, Magha, Rohini, Swati, Uttarashada, Vishakha, Revati or Shravana in birth chart the person is said to have Antya Nadi.
Like explained earlier during the matching of the horoscopes if the male and female Nadis are different then 8 points are added, however, if both horoscopes are having the same Nadis then the Nadi dosha is formed and no points are added to the Ashtkoot Guna milan. It will show as Nadi as ZERO, which means there is Nadi Dosha.
What Happens if there is Nadi Dosha in Horoscope Matching –
Nadi Dosha is a serious problem in the kundali matching and should never be ignored. Nadi dosha delas with the health of both Husband and Wife. It also deals with the health of the children. The importance of Nadi dosha can be judged from the fact that it has the maximum score in the ashtkoot Guna Milan. Nadi dosha can bring death, divorce, health problems to the married couple, and also problems in conceiving a baby. When there is Nadi dosha there will be miscarriage, abortion and other health problems related to having children.

The most important is to check if the Charans does not fall in the Nadi Paad Vedha Chakra.
If it does not fall in the Nadi Paad Vedha Chakra than Children can be conceived with and without remedies but if it is in the Nadi Paad Vedha Charka then children problems are envisaged.

The groom has the fourth charana in Shatataraka Nakshatra and the bride has the first charan in Moola nakshatra. If my little research is right, that does not fall in the Naadi Paad Vedha chakra. Is that right?
This will be full Nadi Dosha and marriage is not suggested. Now the only thing you can do is make sure that the Horoscope of the Boy and the Girl is correct. I mean the time of Birth. If the children insist that they have to do marriage irrespective of Nadi dosha then Nadi Dosha remedies may be done along with strengthening of Jupiter and 5th lord after studying the horoscope.

Your Nakshtra is Punarvasu charan 3 and your boyfriend Nakshtra is Ashiwani 1 . It is making Adya Nadi dosha. However as it is not in the Nadi Paad Vedha Chakra. Certainly chances of child are very much there can be after treatment or some remedies.

You belong to Poorvabhadra nakshtra and your girl friend belongs to Uttra phalguni nakshtra, there is Adya Nadi dosha. The Ashtkoot Guna milan score is 17.5 out of 36 which is little less than 18 that is considered minimum for marriage. You should check if your Nadi dosha is not in the Nadi Paad Vedha Chakra. If it is in the Paad Vedha chakra it means that it is full Nadi dosha. Also you should check the strength of 5th house and 5th lord which is the house of children. Also check the Planet Jupiter and see if there is no malefic influence on Jupiter. If the 5th lord is strong and also Jupiter, if there is no Paad Vedha chakra then surely there will be no issues related to children.

But at many places I have read that there are several exceptions to Naadi Dosh, viz,
If the Nakshatra of male and female are same and are of same Rashi and if the birth charan of female is not before the birth charan of male then it is a nadi dosha exception.
If the male and female horoscopes have same Nakshatra but different rashi but the birth charan and the birth rashi of the female should not be before the male then it is considered as nadi dosha exception.
If the male and female are born in the same Rashi but different Nakshatra and the Nakshatra of female is not before the male then also it is a Nadi Dosh exception.
If the male and female have the same Nadi but if the rashi lord is Jupiter, Venus or Mercury then also it is a Nadi dosh exception.
As per these criteria we have diff. Rashis, Nakshatra, our charans are same so girl’s charan is not before boy’s charan. and our rashi lords are also Jupiter and Mercury. so as per these parameters do we fall under exception case of Naadi Dosh. Kindly Enlighten.

If there is Antya Nadi dosha, then you need to check if the Nadi Dosha gets cancelled. If not then at least there is no Nadi Paad Vedha. If there is Nadi Paad Vedha then marriage is not recommended. If there is no Paad Vedha it means that Nadi dosha is not complete.
