  1. Dear sir , can you tell me if shraddh rites ( first year death anniversary) be performed during holaastak (05 march to 12 march 2017).

    1. Holaastak is not good for performing any auspicious pujas like marriage , grah pravesh etc. Shraddh rites can be performed on the particular tithi if it falls during the period of holaastak.

  3. Sir,

Pl. also tell me that if anyone gift new clothes and material to us during Holashtak period that should be accepted or not?

    1. Holashtak is not good for doing any auspicious events like purchase of land, house, marriage ceremony, partnerships etc. It is not good for puja for any “Manokaamna”. Like puja for early marriage etc. If someone gifts you something or you gift there is no issue. If somebody birthday is during this period, it is not that you will not celebrate.

      Blessings,

      Navneet

  4. Can we take delivery of new car on 5/3, that is holastak? Payment already done before, just taking it from showroom.
