Me and my fiance have same Nadi (Madhya) in kundli Milan. Still we are going ahead with our marriage. We have consulted many astrologers and they have said that our kundli do not match, but we still have decided to get married in December 2026. Will it affect our married life? Can Madhya nadi dosha be cancelled by any puja, remedy.

nadi dosha is one of the most important considerations in traditional Vedic Kundli Milan, particularly when assessing marriage compatibility. In your case, both you and your fiancé have Madhya Nadi, which creates Madhya Nadi Dosha under the traditional Ashtakoota guna milan marriage matching system.

I would not advise simply ignoring this Dosha because you have already decided to marry in December 2026. At the same time, Nadi Dosha should not be judged in isolation or treated as an automatic indication of an unhappy marriage.

Nadi Koota carries 8 out of 36 Gunas, making it the highest-weighted Koota in Kundli Milan. Traditionally, Nadi is associated with health compatibility, physical constitution, family wellbeing and the possibility of progeny. Madhya Nadi is therefore taken seriously, especially when both charts independently show other indications of weakness concerning marriage, health or children.

However, the presence of Nadi Dosha does not necessarily mean that the marriage will fail. A proper Vedic astrologer should examine both complete birth charts, including the 7th house, 7th lord, Venus, Jupiter, Moon, Navamsa (D9), relevant Dashas and the overall strength of the horoscope. Other Kootas, particularly Bhakoot and Gana, should also be considered rather than making a decision from Nadi alone.

There are also traditional circumstances in which Nadi Dosha may be reduced or considered cancelled. For example, certain combinations involving the same Rashi, same Nakshatra with different Pada, or specific Nakshatra/Rashi relationships are treated differently by different classical traditions. Therefore, your astrologer should first establish whether the Nadi Dosha in your particular charts is a full and effective Dosha or whether a recognized Nadi Dosha cancellation applies.

Regarding remedies, traditional practice recommends performing Nadi Dosha Shanti Puja before marriage. This may include prayers to Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati, Maha Mrityunjaya Mantra chanting, and appropriate Vedic rituals performed by a qualified priest. Some families also perform Nadi Dosha Shanti or Navagraha Shanti according to the advice of their family astrologer. These remedies are traditionally intended to pacify the Dosha; however, a Puja should not be presented as a guarantee that an astrological combination has been completely erased.

Since you are already planning marriage in December 2026, my advice is not to panic or cancel the marriage solely because of Madhya Nadi Dosha. But I would also not recommend simply ignoring it. Have both complete Kundlis examined together, determine whether any classical cancellation applies, assess the Navamsa and marriage-related Dashas, and perform Nadi Dosha Shanti before marriage if the Dosha remains applicable.

The final decision should be based on the complete horoscope compatibility, not on the 8 points of Nadi Koota alone.
