GuestSince Saturn Mahadasha started, I have lost interest in my career, relationships, and material things. I feel more attached towards spirituality.
Is this a normal effect of Saturn Mahadasha? Does Saturn mahadasha indicate spiritual growth, or should I be concerned about my future? What remedies can reduce negative effects of Saturn mahadasha? Should I leave materialistic attachment and become a monk or this is just my mind overthinking and I should go back to my earlier path?

GuestThe situation you describe is deeply interesting, but what you are experiencing is a classic transition into Saturn (Shani) Mahadasha. It is crucial to remember that Shani Deva is actually the biggest *shubh chintak* (well-wisher) in any horoscope he genuinely wants only what is best for you and strips away superficial illusions so you can build unshakeable inner resilience. While Saturn exposes the harsh realities of life and broken expectations, the intense, sudden detachment you feel carries a strong Ketu influence. In your birth chart, Ketu sits in your 9th house with your Moon, and right now, transiting Ketu is moving through Leo in your 11th house of desires, severing your interest in worldly validation, while transiting Moon passes through Capricorn in your 4th house directly over your natal Saturn. You do not need to drop everything and become a monk; Saturn never asks you to abandon your duties, but rather to perform them with disciplined detachment. This is simply your mind overthinking a major energetic shift. To calm your emotions, seek shelter under Lord Shiva or Lord Ganesha, and strengthen your Moon by chanting *Om Saum Saumaya Namah* as many times as you like without worrying about mala counts, allowing yourself time to adjust to this transformative new chapter.
