What is the difference between a Lagan Kundli (birth chart) and a Chalit Kundli in Vedic astrology? I often see both charts in horoscope analyses but don’t fully understand how they differ or why both are used. Can someone explain how planetary positions are assigned in each chart, and in what situations the Chalit Kundli provides more accurate or deeper insight than the standard Lagan chart?

Normally astrologers cast a chart which is called Rasi chart or Lagna kundali. Here the house division is not done. This is the basic chart. This is the position of planets in the sky at the time of birth.
To know the predictions, houses are divided as per so many systems, Ex. Sripathi, Regiomontanus, Placidus etc. This is called Chalit Kundali.
From Rasi kundali the divisional charts are prepared to know or assess the strength of planets to give a certain matter in the Chalit Kundali.
We have to base on Chalit to know the results.
