GuestMe and my girlfriend horoscope matching shows Adya nadi dosha. My Nakshatra is Punarvasu 2nd Pada and Girls Nakshatra is Ardra 2nd Pada. Our family is against this marriage because of Nadi Dosha. While researching about Nadi Dosha online, I found many articles claiming that it can lead to delayed childbirth, health issues, and misunderstandings between married partners. I want to ask if these claims are true. Can knowledgeable astrologers please clarify:
Does Adya Nadi Dosha actually affect childbirth?
Does Nadi Dosha actually affect Health?
Is there any connection with the 5th house or Jupiter? It is favourable in our charts? Our overall Guna milan score is 25 out of 36. Please help.

KeymasterAdya nadi dosha (also called Aadi Nadi Dosha) is one of the three Nadi classifications used in Ashtakoota Guna Milan for Vedic horoscope matching. The three Nadis are Adya (Vata), Madhya (Pitta), and Antya (Kapha). A Nadi Dosha is formed when both the prospective bride and groom are born under Nakshatras that belong to the same Nadi. If both partners belong to Adya Nadi, it is known as Adya Nadi Dosha.
In traditional Vedic astrology, Adya Nadi is associated with the Vata element, representing movement, vitality, and the nervous system. Since Nadi matching is considered one of the most important factors in kundli matching, it carries the highest weight of 8 Gunas out of the total 36 Gunas. Ancient astrologers believed that matching the same Nadi could indicate similar constitutional traits, making it an important compatibility factor.
However, the presence of Adya Nadi Dosha alone should never be used to reject a marriage proposal. The first and most important step is to determine whether the dosha is cancelled (check Nadi Paad Vedha). Classical Vedic astrology describes several cancellation rules, such as certain planetary combinations, strong progeny yogas, or other horoscope factors that can significantly reduce or completely nullify the dosha.
Looking at your birth chart we see that the boy is born under Punarvasu nakshatra 2nd charan and the girl is born under Ardra nakshatra 2nd charan. However, as there is no Nadi Paad vedha. This means that the malefic effects of Nadi dosha will not be there. Hence, marriage can be considered without any issue.
