GuestIn Vedic astrology, bhakoot dosha is considered during Kundli Milan and is determined by the relationship between the Moon signs of the bride and groom. Since the Moon represents the mind, emotions, and mental peace, Bhakoot Dosha is traditionally associated with possible differences in emotional understanding, family harmony, or financial matters.
If the couple is already married, there are several traditional spiritual remedies that may be performed to seek blessings for a harmonious married life. Worship of Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati is particularly recommended in Hindu tradition because they symbolise marital commitment, mutual respect, and the strength of a sacred partnership. The couple can visit a Shiva temple on Mondays and offer water to the Shivling while praying for peace, love, and understanding in their relationship.
Chanting the Gauri Shankar Mantra 108 times daily or on Mondays is another good remedy to remove the malefic effects of Bhakoot dosha in your horoscopes. The couple may also chant the mantra “Om Namah Shivaya” 108 times together. If possible, they can perform a simple Shiva-Parvati Puja at home, offering flowers, fruits, and prayers for the stability of their marriage.
Since Bhakoot Dosha is based on the Moon signs, Chandra Puja, or worship of the Moon, may also be considered. On Mondays, devotees may offer prayers to Chandra Dev, chant “Om Som Somaya Namah” 108 times, and practise meditation to encourage calmness and emotional balance. Observing a Monday fast may be considered according to one’s health and personal circumstances, but fasting is not compulsory.
In addition to these remedies, the couple should make a conscious effort to communicate respectfully, avoid unnecessary arguments, and support each other during difficult periods.
