Namaste everyone, I want to understand how divorce or separation is seen in a birth chart (kundli) as per Vedic astrology. Which houses, planets, and combinations indicate problems in married life? I have heard that 7th house, Venus, and Navamsa chart are important, but I am not sure how to analyze them properly.
Also, how do planets like Mars, Saturn, Rahu, and Ketu affect marriage and create divorce yog? What is the role of 6th, 8th, and 12th houses in separation or legal issues?

Marriage and relationships are primarily judged from the 7th house, its lord, Venus (karaka of love and marriage), and Jupiter (for stability and wisdom in relationships). When these are strong and well-placed, married life remains harmonious.
To check divorce yog in kundli, first examine if the 7th house or its lord is afflicted by malefic planets like Mars, Saturn, Rahu, or Ketu. Such afflictions can bring conflict, delay, ego clashes, or emotional detachment. Presence of mangal dosha, especially in the 7th or 8th house, can also create tension in marriage.
Next, analyze the connection of the 7th house with 6th, 8th, and 12th houses. The 6th house indicates disputes and legal separation, the 8th house shows sudden breaks, and the 12th house represents separation and distance. Strong links between these houses and the 7th house increase chances of divorce or separation.
Navamsa chart (D9) is very important for confirming marital stability. If similar afflictions are repeated in D9, the possibility becomes stronger.
Finally, timing through dasha and transit (gochar) plays a key role. Divorce usually manifests during unfavorable planetary periods.
