After completing my rahu dasha I was told my Jupiter mahadasha will be good, but I see it is worst then Rahu mahadasha. Could someone please explain why it is so bad. It is impacting my relationship with everyone Husband, siblings, children, parents, In-laws and friends and of course career. Saturn antardasha was terrible but mercury antardasha a little better. I just want to know is my Jupiter afflicted need to do any remedies.

Jupiter is your Lagna lord. It is a natural benefic and being the Lagna lord, it will not cause much harm. However, it has its weak points:

1 It occupies a Kendra creating a Kendradipatya dosha

2 It is retrograde and its effects become unpredictable. A general feature of retrograde planets is repetitiveness. Any event may not happen right the first time.

3 It is associated with Saturn who is the lord of the 12th house (its moolatrikona house) of loss and expenditure.

4 Its nakshatra lord is Sun who is in its exaltation house but is also the rogakaraka. This nakshatra lord joins Rahu in the Navamsa in the 4th house of Navamsa but in the 8th from natal lagna causing sudden disturbances.

In the dasa of Jupiter, Sun and Mercury are automatically activated. With Mercury occupying the 6th house of Navamsa and Sun the 4th (in its debilitation house) differences with all and sundry can be expected.

Moreover, with Jupiter occupying Lagnamsa (from natal lagna) in Navamsa, some physical ailments can also occur. All the more since both the maraka houses (2nd and 7th) are also activated.

You can start reciting Aditya Hridayam Stotra and Vishnu Sahasranama Stotra daily with a prayer for relief from these issues.

No shanti for a Lagna lord is generally advised. You can do shanti for its nakshatra lord Sun and dispositor Mercury.

In my humble understanding, as Lagna Lord Jupiter/Guru-dev is not subject to Kendradipathya Dosha. But then, Jupiter/Guru-dev being closely conjunct to (11th &) 12th lord of Vyaya/Losses Saturn/Shani-dev is a cause for concern… more so for it is an indication of atrocities on weak/feeble and/or innocent lives in the past life (Gou-Hathya and/or Brahmana-Hatya Dosha). This conjunction also seems to be affecting marital relatioship and hence restricting happiness from marriage – although you might have had a love marriage.

Thereafter, Jupiter/Guru-dev is Vakra or Retrograde and being posited in the Lunar Constellation of Uttarashada Nakshatra, ruled by 6th lord of Roga-Sthana and activating Sun/Ravi is not a good sign. Incidentally, Mercury/Budha (who is also the Rashi depositor) and Moon/Chandra are also posited in the Lunar Constellation of Kritika Nakshatra, ruled by Sun/Ravi are activated. They are close to each other and don’t necessarily seem to be in sync with each other… I’m inclined to think Moon/Chandra, in-turn mind seems to be strong and Mercury/Budha, in-turn intelligence is not able to keep pace – it probably contributes to some quirkiness or eccentricity in your nature/outlook.

Lastly, it also looks like you are susceptible to envy, evil-eye, black-magic and other such spells.  From a Vedic/Dharmic remedy point of view, it might not be a bad idea for you to consider appropriate remedial action for Gou-Hathya and/or Brahmana-Hatya Dosha.

Thank you for your guidance. I had proper arrange marriage. But as predicted having disturbing marital life with sudden events. So please tell me do I need to do shanti puja for sun planet, I already performed shanti puja homam and Japan’s to Jupiter planet recently. Iam ready to perform for sun planet. Kindly confirm on it. 3 yeas back my father in law and my husband together gave cow and calf donation to gau shala and performed rituals as guided by Brahmin. And consecutive three years we donated food for cow and calf. If still recommended for me to do separately then please guide me .

will this dasha be better than previous dasha or worst , please let me know.

There is some indication and a possibility of you falling in love and hence my note.

Please be informed Venus/Shukra is not really a benefic for the birth-chart…also posited in the Lunar Constellation of Kritika Nakshatra (along with Moon/Chandra and Mercury/Budha) and seems to be active.

Please provide some insights into why your father-in-law and husband together gave cow and calf donation to gau shala and performed rituals as guided by Brahmin. Did they do it on your behalf or were they addressing their own issues. What was your role in the ritual?  On a related note, it might not be a bad idea for you to consider sharing your husband’s birth-details for evaluation and assessment of collective Karma.

Anyways, it might not be a bad idea for you to consider reciting/chanting Uma Maheshwari stotra (along with Aditya Hridayam).  Doing so is actually seeking blessings of both Lord Shiva and Goddess Parvati for a loving and stable relationship. It is used to remove obstacles in marriage and overcome issues like divorce or separation. It is often recited to strengthen marital relationships and bring harmony to family life.

My mother in law expired in 2019 and after her demise my husband has only one younger brother who was living with his wife in India taking care of my father in law, and we lost him due to Covid, in 2021 right after 20months of my mother in law. So someone advised to donate cow and calf so that my father in law and my husband, me and my two daughters will have peace in life.

Sun/Ravi in your birth-chart lords the 6th house of Roga-Sthana. He is hosting and there by influencing other planets/grahas, possibly inducing health issues. So, it would make sense for you to consider propitiating him… based on the severity of your health issue (if any). If no significant issues, you could simply recite/chant Aditya Hridayam and try to overcome challenges.

Incidentally, your husband seems to be in the midst of peak Sade-Sathi or Saturn/Shani-dev’s transit across natal placement of Moon/Chandra. Unless I’m terribly mistaken, he is tense, under stress/pressure etc. This would invariably be contributing to the relationship and making things a bit acute/obvious. It would perhaps make sense for him to appease Saturn/Shani-dev by chanting simple mantras to overcome inherent challenges.

On the sidelines, I also feel your husband (and in-turn family) might be experiencing monetary/financial issues. If true, it might not be a bad idea for him to consider offering special prayers to Goddess Mahalakshmi… more so on Fridays. with unwavering faith, bhakti/devotion and a strong Sankalpa.

In your husband’s birth-chart, current Maha-Dasha as also 2nd & 7th lord Venus/Shukra is weak… indicating some weakness and/or challenges/issues with Wealth Accumulation and Spousal Relationship. Hence, the suggestions shared previously.

Thank you for your response, I need small clarification please guide me, as I mentioned Gau danam was done by my father in law and husband in 2022 March for the welfare of all of us after my brother in law demise. So that will not count ? Do I need to do separately? If yes then do I need to be physically present as iam in US. And to do this ritual my husband should also be their because he already did so he will not agree.

In my humble understanding, whatever your father-in-law and husband did, in terms of remedy was perhaps to address their own Karma. It will perhaps not address yours.

Personally, I don’t necessarily suggest expensive remedies. Unfortunately, I’m unaware of alternate options. I believe Phala or benefit of doing anything in person is much better/higher and something done by force will be limited. So, I’ll leave it to your wise discretion on for the way forward.

Although there are small possibilities, in my humble opinion, your aspiration for buying a house will have to wait a little bit.
