My partner and I recently had our horoscopes matched for marriage. The kundli matching report shows Gana dosha and nadi dosha, and since then we have received completely different opinions from various astrologers. Some astrologers advised us not to proceed with the marriage, saying that Nadi Dosha can lead to marital problems, health issues, difficulty in having children, or lack of compatibility. On the other hand, a few astrologers told us that Nadi Dosha is not always harmful and that it can be cancelled under certain planetary combinations. This has left us very confused and anxious about making the right decision.

I would be grateful if experienced Vedic astrologers could analyze our birth details and answer the following questions:

How serious is Nadi Dosha in our horoscope?
Does Nadi Dosha always create problems after marriage, or is its impact often exaggerated?
Are there any valid Nadi Dosha cancellation rules applicable in our charts?
Are Beeja Sphuta and Kshetra Sphuta important while judging the possibility of healthy children? Should these be examined before concluding that Nadi Dosha is harmful?
Are there any planetary combinations that completely reduce or neutralize the effects of Nadi Dosha?

We are looking for guidance from genuine astrologers who have studied about Nadi dosha in depth. We would appreciate a detailed explanation of the reasoning behind your opinion so that we can make an informed decision about our future.

How serious is nadi dosha in our horoscope?

Looking at your Kundli Milan we see that your ashtkoot guna milan score is just 10 out of 36, which is very low. There is Gana dosha and Madhya Nadi dosha. Madhya Nadi dosha is the strongest Nadi dosha as it belongs to the fire element. Nadi Dosha is considered one of the most important factors in traditional Ashtakoota kundli matching because it primarily relates to health, genetic compatibility, and progeny.

Does Nadi Dosha always create problems after marriage, or is its impact often exaggerated?

The impact of Nadi Dosha is frequently exaggerated by modern astrologers. Astrology never states that every couple with Nadi Dosha will experience marital failure or child-related problems. That is why astrology states the importance of checking “Nadi Paad Vedha”. The Nadi dosha merely indicates a possibility that requires deeper analysis is needed.

Are there any valid Nadi Dosha cancellation rules applicable in our charts?

Yes. Traditional Vedic astrology recognises several accepted Nadi Dosha cancellation rules. First and most important is checking checking “Nadi Paad Vedha”. The dosha may also get cancelled if the bride and groom belong to the same Rashi but different Nakshatras, or the same Nakshatra but different Charanas in specific situations. You should always consult a knowledgeable astrologer who can verify these cancellations.

Are Beeja Sphuta and Kshetra Sphuta important while judging the possibility of healthy children? Should these be examined before concluding that Nadi Dosha is harmful?

Absolutely. Beeja Sphuta and Kshetra Sphuta are highly respected concepts in classical Vedic astrology for evaluating fertility and the possibility of healthy progeny. Beeja Sphuta represents the reproductive potential of the male, while Kshetra Sphuta represents the reproductive capacity of the female. Before predicting problems related to children because of Nadi Dosha, these calculations should be examined in depth.

Now, coming specifically to your birth chart, we see that the boy is born under Dhanishta Nakshatra 4th charan and Girl is born under Bharani Nakshatra 3rd charan. As there is no Nadi Paad Vedha, it means that Nadi dosha is cancelled. Looking at the birth chart of the girl we see that 5th house which is the prime house for children, is ruled by Saturn and Saturn is conjoined with Ketu. Sun which is the secondary karka for progeny, is in the 6th house of diseases, it is important to check the Beeja Sphuta and Kshetra Sphuta as well.

      Blessings,
