GuestI am planning to get married and during kundli matching we found that both of us have the same Nadi which is said to create nadi dosha in Vedic astrology. I want to understand how serious this issue really is and whether it can affect our marriage in terms of compatibility emotional bonding and future stability. Does having the same Nadi lead to problems related to health or children as often suggested? Is it advisable to go ahead with the marriage or should this be considered a major concern before making a final decision about our relationship. Can couples nadi dosha get married or not? Thanks

KeymasterCouples with same Nadi should get married or not is a very important question in Vedic astrology. nadi dosha is considered one of the most serious factors in kundli matching under Ashta Koota Milan. Nadi represents the physical constitution, genetic pattern and reproductive compatibility of a person. There are three types of Nadi which are Adi Madhya and Antya and when both partners belong to the same Nadi it leads to Nadi Dosha.
In classical astrology same Nadi marriage is generally not recommended. The main reason behind this is that Nadi reflects similar body constitution or Prakriti. When two individuals have the same Nadi it indicates similarity in genetic traits. Ancient sages believed that such similarity can create imbalance in the continuation of lineage and may lead to issues related to childbirth. It is often associated with problems like delay in having children, difficulty in conception or health concerns in offspring.
Apart from progeny, Nadi also represents the flow of energy between partners. When both Nadis are the same the energy exchange is considered less balanced. This can result in emotional disconnect lack of understanding and differences in thinking patterns. Over time this may create stress, misunderstandings and dissatisfaction in married life.
Nadi Dosha carries the highest weightage of 8 points in the 36 point matching system which shows its importance. When these points are not matched it reduces overall compatibility significantly. This is why traditional astrologers strongly advise caution, especially when other compatibility factors are also weak.
From a traditional Vedic astrology perspective same Nadi couples are usually advised not to marry due to the potential challenges related to health of couple, health of children and emotional harmony. However, it is also important to understand that final judgment should always be based on complete horoscope matching and not on Nadi alone.
When facing Nadi dosha in kundli mmilan it is important to check Nadi dosha cancellation. if cancellation is taking place you can sure that Malefic effects of Nadi dosha will not be there. If you wnat to go even more deeper and check about health of couple and children, you can check beeja sphuta (Male Seed/ Sperm) and kshetra sphuta (Female field / Ovum), which can tell you more deeply about the children in both horoscopes. Beeja Sphuta and Kshetra Sphuta are Vedic astrology methods to determine fertility and prospects of having children.
