Thanks, Buddy, for looking at my question. My Rahu Mahadasha started in December 2024. Since then, I have witnessed a lot of turmoil on the professional as well as personal front. I was looking at a promotion in the office that got postponed. Also, I was in a relationship for the past 4 years, and suddenly, in March 2025, there was some misunderstanding, and we drifted apart. My health has also suffered during the past 1 year or so. I showed my birth chart to one pandit, who suggested that I should do Rahu remedies during this period. I have been doing few remedies, but not sure if they work, as I feel that nothing is happening on either front. My parents want me to get married, but I’m not sure if I can move ahead with another person and be happy in life.

You’ve indeed started Rahu Maha-Dasha from late 2024 (as per Vimsottari Dasha system). Incidentally, Rahu has below par Vimsopaka Bala in Dasha Varga and does not seem to be in the best of mood.

To make things more interesting, Rahu seems to have a significant foot-print and will influence multiple aspects in this time-period… given that he participates in Sukshma Parivarthane with Lagna (& 4th) Lord Jupiter/Guru-dev, at Nakshatra level, apart from hosting 7th & 10th lord Mercury/Budha (who incidentally is neither happy nor comfortable being placeing the 7th House of Kalathra-Sthana – not to mention the need to validate Kendradipathya Dosha) and Saturn/Shani-dev… both posited in the Lunar Constellations ruled by Rahu. He also activates his depositor Venus/Shukra.

Hopefully, this information should give you some deeper insight into your current situation/experiences – not to mention the transit of Saturn/Shani-dev into the Zodiac sign of Pisces or Meena Rashi, triggering initial doses/effects of Sade-Sathi. That said, it would help to know what has been recommended / performed as remedies. In my humble understanding, it would have been ideal for you to have considered Sandi-Shanti and Rahu Shanti Homa/Havan (a fire ritual) as the bare minimum, to appease Rahu. Apart from that, it would have made more sense to consider propitiating other affected Grahas/Planets.

PS: Delay in marriage is obvious. I’m inclined to think there will be challenges and limited chance of love-marriage, at that.

There appears to be no problem with Rahu in your chart. It doesn’t need any shanti. What is needed is Kuja – Rahu sandhi shanti. This should have been done just before the start of Rahu dasa. Even now, less than a year has passed in Rahu dasa and as such, this Sandhi shanti will definitely help.

Rahu also supports marriage. You could get married in the current antara of Rahu itself. It is also likely that your old acquaintance will return shortly.

In matters of profession, Rahu can give some unexpected results since he is placed in the 8th amsa w.r.t natal lagna in dasamsa and his nakshatra lord Jupiter is retrograde. His dispositor in dasamsa is Moon who is also debilitated.

You can also consider shantis for Moon and Ketu since they are forming a Grahana yoga and can create hinderance when active.

Although Venus/Shukra, Rahu’s depositor in your birth-chart as the Dhanava-Guru would be in good terms with Rahu, Venus/Shukra himself ruling the 6th & 11th houses is not really a benefic for the birth-chart. Further, association of Mars/Kuja and Ketu with Moon/Chandra – not to mention the aspects of Saturn/Shani-dev and Rahu are not really preferred.

Anyways, based on my understanding of your birth-chart and how I think you are perceived by folk around you, I’m a bit skeptical as called out earlier. Please feel to ignore anything that is not to your taste/liking and feel free to seek as many opinions as you feel like.
