Can a manglik dosha be nullified in a second marriage if the first marriage went in divorce?

According to Vedic astrology, the concept of once a Manglik, always a Manglik holds true. This means that if a person has Mangal Dosha in their birth chart due to Mars being placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house from the Ascendant and Moon, the dosha remains active throughout life, regardless of whether it is the first or second marriage.

Why Mangal Dosha continues to affect second marriage:

      1. Mangal Dosha is a natal chart condition
It is not situation-based but birth-chart-based. Since your birth chart remains constant, the presence of Mars in a
malefic house doesn’t change based on how many times you marry.

      2. Mars represents aggression, dominance, and karmic debts
These qualities can affect all marital relationships, not just the first one. If the aggressive or fiery Mars energy is
not managed or balanced, it can lead to repeated problems in relationships.

      3. Second marriage may even face more complications
If the dosha is strong and left untreated (no remedies or matching), it can continue to bring challenges such as
misunderstandings, control issues, or emotional disconnect in second or even later marriages.

      4. No automatic nullification
Unless specific planetary combinations cancel the dosha (like Mars being exalted, in own sign, or receiving benefic
aspects), it remains effective. The assumption that it vanishes after the first marriage is a misconception.

Even in a second marriage, Manglik Dosha remains active. It must be acknowledged and balanced through proper chart matching, remedies, and understanding the individual’s emotional and karmic patterns. Simply remarrying doesn’t neutralize the dosha, the root astrological and karmic causes must be addressed for lasting marital peace.

        Hi,

You are Manglik (have Kuja Dosha) alright. There is no denying the fact. In my humble opinion, Mars/Kuja being placed in his Neecha-Sthana or sign of debilitation makes little difference (you see, when triggered the temper or anger of a weak person is a lot more destructive than a healthy or strong person).

That said, you’ve experienced lifetime events… gotten married, have progeny, experienced good and not so good. I’m sure the life events have given you an opportunity to reflect and learn from past experiences. Further, you are now 47 years of age… with age comes some maturity. And, in my humble opinion age and lifetime experiences will tone down the effects of Mars/Kuja. But that should not matter now…

What matters is you’ve started Maha-Dasha of Saturn/Shani-dev since 2017. He ruled over the 2nd house and is placed in the 9th house of Bhagya-Sthana. Incidentally, this Saturn/Shani-dev has below par Vimsopaka Bala in Dasha Varga. His depositor Sun/Ravi also has below par Vimsopaka Bala in Dasha Varga and is placed in the Roga-Sthana. So, it would perhaps make sense for you to be cautious and take good care of your health… more so in the current Antara of Rogakaraka Venus/Shukra, followed by that of Sun/Ravi.

On the marriage front, I’d suggest you not worry about Mangal / Mangalik Dosha. That would be the least of any suitor’s concern. But then, I’d be a bit skeptical of the time period being conducive.

        Take care…

      Mrs. Anju
Your lagna is in Sagittarius. Mars is in 8th house, Cancer is a watery sign. Mars is debilitated means Mars can be weak to give his effect. When fire is immersed in water, the fire effect is mitigated. Likewise Mars dosha will be less. But the planets have full strength in the zodiac.

As Navneet Sir discussed above, when Mars is in 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th and 12th houses either from Lagna or Moon or Venus, it is called Mars dosha. But exceptions are also there. I said above is one of the exceptions. If one marriage is over then for second marriage the Mars dosha effect would not be there. I trust it may not be true.

As per KP system, for 2nd marriage we check the 2nd house. 2nd cusp sub lord Rahu is signifying Sun in 5th house and sub of Venus (lord of 11th – fulfilment of desires) in 6th house and also signifying 8th house. Even you have 2nd marriage, there would be tensions and separation only. You will maintain a relation with someone, but that ends in troubles.

Present period is of Saturn dasa Venus bhukti upto 8-10-2027. There are chances in the period 21-7-2025 to 19-3-2026. I hope the time of birth is not accurate. Your 1st marriage and divorce were in the period 17-10-2001 to 17-10-2017.

      Good Luck

      @ Anju,

In your chart, Lagna is Dhanus and Kuja is in the 8th. For this chart, Kuja dosha is not strong at all. Kuja occupies his debilitation house. His aspects are on Tula rasi, Makara rasi and Kumbha rasi. The only bad effect of Kuja dosha w.r.t. marriage can be on Makara rasi. But this rasi is the exaltation sign of Kuja and Kuja will do no harm to this house.
You need not worry much on this account for the second marriage.

      Hi,

All said and done, I’m inclined to think you are Dharmic / Righteous in nature and perhaps cultured. You probably went through some challenging times due to not so pleasant planetary transits (Sade-Sathi or Saturn/Shani-dev’s transit across natal placement of Moon/Chandra) – not to mention the fact that Mercury/Budha is posited in the Lunar Constellation of Ashwini Nakshatra, ruled by Ketu… more importantly, current Maha-Dasha lord Saturn/Shani-dev is posited in the Lunar Constellation of Magha Nakshatra, in deep Gandanta zone.

      Take care…
