Both Ketu and Mars are co-located with Sun, Sthira Karaka for  father. Mars, the 9th lord is also representing your father.

You have not mentioned what ails your father but I presume it has resulted in an operation (and to some degree of accuracy, could be related to the chest area).

You have mentioned that the operation is not in the chest area. The other most likely area is the head area. If so, it may take a while to get fully cured.

Yes it is was brain surgery for tumor. Now he will have undergo through chemotherapy and tradition. He will be fine na.  I just don’t know what has suddenly happened to my family.

Considering the native’s birth-details and the resulting birth-chart with Ascendent or Udaya Lagna placed in the Zodic sign of Leo or Simha Rashi and Moon/Chandra placed in the Zodic sign of Pisces or Meena Rashi, Mars/Kuja coincidentally ends up being the 9th lord, representing father from both references and Sun/Ravi being the natural signifier or Naisargika Pitru-Karaka.

Mars/Kuja is placed in the Zodic sign of Libra or Tula Rashi and posited in the Lunar Constellation of Swati Nakshatra, ruled by his sworn enemy Rahu, while being caught in the Ketu-Rahu axis. Further, being closely conjunct Ketu and caught between Ketu and Sun/Ravi, gives an impression of the individual caught between a rock and a hard place.

As per Vimsottari Dasha system, current Maha-Dasha for the native is that of Mercury/Budha… the (3rd &) 6th lord of Roga-Sthana from the 9th house and 12th lord of Vyaya/Losses/Hospitalization/ Medical Expenses etc., from natal placement of Mars/Kuja.
