As parents, your anxiety and concern is quite understandable. But then, I’d take the liberty to suggest that y0u not worry too much or hurry your son unnecessarily. Quite frankly, the way I visualize the situation… your son has done well to complete his MD studies and would probably like/prefer to take some time or slow down a little bit at the fag end of his Lagna Lord Venus/Shukra Maha-Dasha (the last couple of years have probably been a bit trying/testing)… after starting Antara of Ketu a couple of months back and lasting till December 2026.

Incidentally, Antara of Ketu has also activated slow moving plant or Manda Graha Saturn/Shani-dev…and the time coincides with the natives Saturn/Shani-dev return. In any case, I’m inclined to think the native will well as a doctor… he will work hard and earn a good name / fame for himself.

He may sit quiet for some time in this year. There is also the possibility of his being romantically inclined and disappointed in this aspect. This could also have quietened him.

It’s all the more worrying. Does this mean his next step of a securing a job or studying for a fellowship and later marriage will all be delayed ?

By Dec 2026 things will settle down nicely.

Starting mid Dec 2026 is the dasa of Sun. He is well placed in the 10th house in both the Bhava chart and the Dasamsa chart. So, he should be employed then.

The only precaution needed is to keep the Sun in good humour since he is the badhaka for the chart as well and can create some impediments. Reciting Gayatri mantras daily, doing Surya Namaskar and reciting Aditya Hridaya Stotra are some of the easy remedies. The only thing is that your son should do the remedies himself.

As regards his marriage, the 7th lord Mars and the 7th cuspal lord Venus are both in the 9th rasi in the rasi chart. But both move to the 8th Bhava in the Bhava chart. And the nakshatra lord of both is Rahu who is placed in the 12th rasi but 11th Bhava with the 12th lord Mercury.

In Navamsa, the Lagna lord Mars is in the 12th with Sun and Moon. The combination is aspected by Ketu. The 7th sign is occupied by a retrograde Saturn while the 7th lord occupies Saturn’s house. Although this is a positive interchange of rasis, the presence of Saturn in the 7th sign can delay marriage. All the more so since the dasa lord Sun (from Dec 2026) is in the 12th sign and its nakshatra lord Mercury is in the 8th sign from Navamsa Lagna. He may need to wait till at least 2028 for marriage.
