Movable – Cardinal signs in Vedic Astrology

Movable signs, otherwise known as Cardinal signs, represent movement from one place to another. They include Aries, Cancer, Libra and Capricorn and are ruled by Mars, Moon, Venus and Saturn respectively. All these signs are initiators of the Zodiac and are ambitious, active, restless, independent and creative. Movable signs can, however, exhibit different characteristics as outlined below.

Aries

Being the first sign of Zodiac, Arians want to initiate everything. The sign is symbolized by a ram that is red in color to express the fire element. This element creates unrivaled burning desire and enthusiasm in these individuals. Although other movable signs have leadership qualities, Arians are different types of leaders because they charisma and charm to all types of people, and are not afraid of new grounds. They have too much energy and are not afraid of battles. They are very courageous and can withstand tough conditions for relatively long periods.

Cancer

Cancer sign represents loyalty, dependability, responsiveness and care. Cancerians are usually emotional and supportive. They will do anything to ensure their loved ones are happy. People born under this sign are more to maintain friendships for long periods. They tend to listen attentively and give insights to issues befalling their friends and families. Unlike other cardinal signs, Cancer sign may represent a person who may lean on others for support. Cancerians are usually over-protective of their women folk.

They are usually subtle and are filled with contradictions. This characteristic is depicted by the symbol of this sign; crab, which can get out of its shell to fight or, all the same, hide and move within depths of the ocean. In spite of loving new challenges like other movable signs, they require comfort, support, encouragement and security to pursue the challenges. They can be moody, temperamental and self-pitying.

Libra

The Libra sign represents an individual who loves to stay with others and is easygoing. The symbol of this sign is the scales while an element is air, which makes communicative. The easygoing nature normally lands them in problems. They love it when other people do their work. They will make you happy when working in a group, but will do almost nothing. Librans love luxury and will strive to make their surroundings very attractive and comfortable.

Librans normally work hard to please others. They will use all the money they have earned to beautify their environments. They love classy things and admiration. Too often, they will attract friends and, after some time, place themselves at the center of the friendship circles.

Capricorn

The element of this sign is earth. This implies that people born under this sign are material oriented and will do anything to get good outcomes. The sign is symbolized by a mountain sea-goat. Capricorns are difficult to win, but they will stay committed once they give in. They are time sensitive.

They appear hesitant, yet they are patient deep inside. They take the time to plan for their steps. Capricorns are the most ambitious of the cardinal signs.  They are dictatorial and distrusting.
