In Vedic astrology, marriage is mostly linked to your past karmas and is considered pre-destined. Your horoscope, especially the 7th house, its lord, Jupiter and Venus, can show details about when and whom you may marry. However, the Vedic scriptures also recognize the power of free will. While destiny may bring someone into your life, how that relationship grows or struggles often depends on your choices, efforts, and remedies. So, marriage is both fate and effort; destiny decides who enters your life, but free will shapes what you make of it.

in reply to: Can a manglik dosha be nullified in a second marriage? #168050

According to Vedic astrology, the concept of once a Manglik, always a Manglik holds true. This means that if a person has Mangal Dosha in their birth chart due to Mars being placed in the 1st, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house from the Ascendant and Moon, the dosha remains active throughout life, regardless of whether it is the first or second marriage.

Why Mangal Dosha continues to affect second marriage:

    1. Mangal Dosha is a natal chart condition
It is not situation-based but birth-chart-based. Since your birth chart remains constant, the presence of Mars in a
malefic house doesn’t change based on how many times you marry.

    2. Mars represents aggression, dominance, and karmic debts
These qualities can affect all marital relationships, not just the first one. If the aggressive or fiery Mars energy is
not managed or balanced, it can lead to repeated problems in relationships.

    3. Second marriage may even face more complications
If the dosha is strong and left untreated (no remedies or matching), it can continue to bring challenges such as
misunderstandings, control issues, or emotional disconnect in second or even later marriages.

    4. No automatic nullification
Unless specific planetary combinations cancel the dosha (like Mars being exalted, in own sign, or receiving benefic
aspects), it remains effective. The assumption that it vanishes after the first marriage is a misconception.

Even in a second marriage, Manglik Dosha remains active. It must be acknowledged and balanced through proper chart matching, remedies, and understanding the individual’s emotional and karmic patterns. Simply remarrying doesn’t neutralize the dosha, the root astrological and karmic causes must be addressed for lasting marital peace.

in reply to: Why Was I Born According to Astrology? Past Life Karmas #167893

    Why did I take birth?
In Vedic astrology, your birth is not random, it’s the result of past-life karmas. You took birth to balance certain karmic debts, fulfill unresolved duties, and progress on your soul journey. The 12th house shows past life influences, while the 9th house and Atmakaraka planet (from Jaimini astrology) guide your dharma or life purpose.

What past karmas do I need to focus on?
Your Rahu and Ketu axis reveals your karmic blueprint. Rahu shows your past life overattachment; Ketu shows where your soul must grow in this life. For example, Ketu in the 4th and Rahu in the 10th suggests a past-life detachment towards family, home/emotions, cause of your fulfillment of career obligations. The Saturn’s placement also shows karmic lessons and delays.

What is the aim of this birth?
Your Dharma (life purpose) is found through the Lagna, the 9th house, the Sun, and the Atmakaraka. A strong 9th house points to spiritual learning. The Moon’s nakshatra can also guide your mental and emotional tendencies in this life. If placed in moksha houses (4th, 8th, or 12th), it shows a deep urge for liberation.

    How will I attain Moksha?
Moksha is liberation from the cycle of birth and death. In astrology, the moksha trikon (4th, 8th, and 12th houses), Ketu, Saturn and Jupiter play vital roles. A spiritually inclined chart with Ketu in the 12th or Jupiter in strong dignity, and a weak attachment to worldly pleasures, suggests a soul ready for moksha. Spiritual service, meditation, and inner purification aligned with your chart’s guidance can aid this journey.

Bhakoot Dosha is one of the eight Kootas used in Kundli Milan or horoscope matching in Vedic astrology. It carries 7 out of 36 points in the Ashtakoota system and represents the emotional, physical and children happiness between partners after marriage.

Bhakoot is based on the Moon signs of the bride and groom. The distance or angle between their Moon signs determines whether Bhakoot Dosha is present. Certain combinations like 6-8, 9-5, or 12-2 between Moon signs are considered inauspicious, creating Bhakoot Dosha.

This Dosha is important because it can indicate potential issues related to health, emotional connection, financial growth, and even childbirth. A strong Bhakoot Dosha may lead to misunderstanding, lack of intimacy, or long-term incompatibility. If other factors are prevailing Bhakoot dosha can give divorce.

However, Bhakoot Dosha is not always a deal-breaker. There are conditions where marriage can be considered depite Bhakoot dosha but you need to get your chart checked through a good astrologer. When Bhakoot is there, it is very important to do a graha milan(matching of the planets in both charts).

In short, Bhakoot Dosha should never be ignored it indicates underline issues in compatibility that is why astrologers give it serious weight during Kundli matching.

For a Leo ascendant, Jupiter in the 12th house (Cancer sign) is considered exalted, which can bring strong spiritual growth, foreign connections, and a charitable nature. Though the 12th house signifies losses, isolation, and expenses, Jupiter here often turns these into purposeful actions — like spiritual retreats, donations, or foreign travels. It can give moksha-oriented tendencies and inner wisdom. However, material delays and expenses may still be experienced. The native may benefit abroad or through spiritual vocations. Overall, it’s a mixed placement — materially challenging but spiritually uplifting, especially if Jupiter is well-aspected and not afflicted by malefics like Rahu or Saturn.

In Vedic astrology, Saturn (Shani) is the Karmakaraka—the lord of justice and karma. But his justice is not instant; it’s deep, slow, and exact, often working beyond the perception of a single lifetime. When we see wrongdoers thriving and righteous people suffering, it can seem unjust. But Vedic astrology teaches that life is a continuation of past karmas—not just from this birth but from many previous lives.

Those who prosper despite unethical actions may be enjoying good karmic fruits from past lives, but they’re also accumulating bad karma for future suffering. Likewise, those who suffer despite doing good may be exhausting past negative karma to make way for a better future.

Saturn doesn’t forget. He delays, but never denies. His punishments and rewards are designed to elevate the soul, not just to comfort or punish superficially. Shani teaches discipline, endurance, and detachment. The suffering of good people often leads to wisdom, strength, and spiritual growth—which are lasting gains beyond material success.

So while it may seem like justice is absent, in the grand scheme of cosmic law, every action finds its equal reaction, even if across lifetimes. That’s the subtle and silent justice of Saturn.

in reply to: Does Rahu Mahadasa make a person narcissist? #167677

Rahu Mahadasha can amplify ego, obsession, and desire for control, often leading to self-centered or narcissistic behavior, especially if Rahu is poorly placed or afflicted in the chart. It clouds judgment and increases material cravings. However, when Jupiter Mahadasha begins, the shift is usually transformative. Jupiter brings wisdom, humility, and spiritual clarity. If well-placed, it can soften the ego developed during Rahu’s period and guide the person toward more ethical and balanced living. While Rahu may create confusion and self-focus, Jupiter encourages introspection, moral values, and growth, helping the individual evolve beyond narcissistic tendencies developed earlier.

in reply to: Get Married With Madhya Nadi Dosha? #166940

Yes, you can marry even if there is Nadi Dosha, but such marriages should be approached with care and deeper astrological analysis. Madhya Nadi Dosha can sometimes cause compatibility issues, especially related to health or childbirth, but it does not always lead to negative outcomes. It’s essential to check if Nadi Paad Vedha exists or not — if there is no Paad Vedha, then the dosha is cancelled. Also, examine Graha Milan (planetary positions) carefully, especially the strength of the 7th house, Venus, Jupiter, and Moon. If other factors like Bhakoot, Yoni, or Gana match well, the risk is further reduced. Remedies like Nadi Dosha Nivaran puja can also help. Make a well-guided decision, and always consult an experienced astrologer before proceeding.

in reply to: Remove Mangal Dosha from Kundli? #166894

Mangal Dosha, or Manglik Dosha, occurs when Mars is placed in the 1st, 2nd, 4th, 7th, 8th, or 12th house of a birth chart. It is believed to cause delays or problems in marriage, emotional disturbances, or incompatibility if not addressed. To reduce the effects of Mangal Dosha, Vedic astrology recommends remedies like performing Mangal Shanti puja, visiting Navagraha temples, especially on Tuesdays, and chanting the Hanuman Chalisa or Mangal Beej Mantra regularly. Donating red lentils, red clothes, or coral can also help. Wearing a red coral (moonga) after consulting an astrologer may balance Mars energy. Another effective remedy is marrying another Manglik, which cancels the dosha. In some cases, a Kumbh Vivah (symbolic marriage to a pot or tree) is performed before actual marriage to neutralize its impact. Regular fasting on Tuesdays and offering sweets to Hanuman or Lord Subramanya is also advised. Remedies must always be done under the guidance of a learned astrologer to ensure they suit the individual chart.

Hey this can become a good case study for astrology students. Two individuals with same date and time, probably just different place of birth would mean almost same charts. Do share your personality and life events to see how close you match with each other 🙂
